Himitsu Sentai Goranger (1975-1977)
This was the first installment of the franchise. The show ran for 84 episodes, making it the longest Sentai series ever. This was also the first Sentai show to replace one of their members, as well as one of them being killed off. The show was written by Shotaro Ishinomori, writer of Cyborg 009, Skullman, Kamen Rider, Kikaider and many others.
JAKQ Dengekitai (1977)
This was the second installment of the franchise. The show ran for 35 episodes, making it the shortest Sentai series ever. The show included the first white senshi and was also the first show to have the leadership role to be give to another member, and the first Sentai to not have a yellow senshi.
Battle Fever J (1979-1980)
This was the third installment of the franchise. The show ran for 52 episodes. Originally, the show was the first Super Sentai series, because of the one year hiatus. Because of this, this made JAKQ and Goranger be only "Sentai" series. The show was then changed to be the third Super Sentai series in 1995 during Choriki Sentai Ohranger. The show featured the first Sentai Robo, Battle Fever Robo, as well as the first orange and black senshis.
Denshi Sentai Denziman (1980-1981)
This was the fourth installment of the franchise. The show ran for 51 episodes. The show featured the return of a yellow senshi. The show also had the first transforming Sentai robo, DaiDenzin.
Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan (1981-1982)
This was the fifth installment of the franchise. The show ran for 50 episodes. It was the first and only Sentai team to not have a female senshi. The show also had the first Sentai robo that was a combination of more than one mech, Sun Vulcan Robo.
Dai Sentai Goggle V (1982-1983)
This was the sixth installment of the franchise. The show ran for 50 episodes. The show featured the return of a female senshi.
Kagaku Sentai Dynaman (1983-1984)
This was the seventh installment of the franchise. The show ran for 51 episodes. Originally, the show´s motif was going to a baseball motif, but it was changed to explosions (maybe we should call this team Michael Sentai Bayman).
Choudenshi Bioman (1984-1985)
This was the eighth installment of the franchise. The show ran for 51 episodes. This was the first show to include a female yellow senshi, as well as two female members on the team.
Dengeki Sentai Changeman (1985-1986)
This was the ninth installment of the franchise. The show ran for 55 episodes, making it the second longest Sentai series ever. This was the first show to not include a yellow senshi ever Battle Fever J, as well as having a female white senshi.
Choushinsei Flashman (1986-1987)
This was the tenth installment of the franchise. The show ran for 50 episodes. This was also the first show to feature a secondary robo.
Hikari Sentai Maskman (1987-1988)
This was the eleventh installment of the franchise. The show ran for 51 episodes. X1 Mask (picture on the right) may have been the sixth member, but he only appeared in one episode, thus he isn't the first sixth senshi.

Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger (1992-1993)
This was the sixteenth installment of the franchise. The show ran for 50 episodes. The show featured the first "official" sixth senshi. The show also had the first seven mecha combination, Ultimate Daizyujin. The show was the first dinosaur-themed Sentai series, followed after Abaranger & Kyoryuger. And more importantly, this was the first Sentai to be adapted into Season 1 of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Gosei Sentai Dairanger (1993-1994)
This was the seventeenth installment of the franchise. The show ran for 50 episodes. The season was adapted into Season 2 of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, but not completely. Only the monsters, the mecha and Kibaranger was adapted into Season 2. The main Dairanger suits were not adapted and Saban went on with the suits from Zyuranger.
Ninja Sentai Kakuranger (1994-1995)
This was the eighteenth installment of the franchise. The show ran for 53 episodes, making it the third longest Sentai series ever. The show featured the first female senshi that was the leader of the team and the first Extra Hero, Ninjaman. The show was also the first ninja-themed Sentai series, followed after Hurricanger and Ninninger. The show was adapted into Season 3 of MMPR, but only Ninjaman, the mecha, and the monsters were adapted, until the main Kakuranger suits were used for the Alien Rangers in the Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers miniseries.
