History of Godzilla

Hey guys. Last time, I went over the Ultra Series. It's main hero, Ultraman, is best known for battling many Daikaiju (translated to Mega Monster). Speaking of Daikaiju, let's go over the history of one of the most infamous monsters of all time, the grandaddy of all tokusatsu, the king of all monsters, Godzilla. Here we will be going over the movies in the franchise, both Japanese & American. So, let's dive into the history of Godzilla.

Godzilla (1954)
This was the first movie that started the franchise and was the first movie of the Showa Era. It was a big hit in Japan and even came into the States, titled as Godzilla, King of the Monsters. The design of Godzilla was created by  Eiji Tsuburaya, who is also best known for creating Ultraman.

Godzilla Raids Again (1955)
This was the second Godzilla movie in the Showa Era. It was a sequel to the original and was the first movie to feature monsters other than Godzilla. It came to the States, titled as Gigantis, the Fire Monster.

This was the third Godzilla movie of the Showa Era. It was a crossover between Godzilla and King Kong.

This was the thirty-first film overall. It was the third reboot of Godzilla after Godzilla (1998) and Godzilla (2014).

This is the first film of the anime trilogy and the thirty-second film overall.

This is the continuation of the 2014 reboot and is the thirty-fifth film overall.
