Power Rangers Battle Beasts Season 1, Episode 5: The Rise of A Rider

Hey guys. I know it's been long, but do not fear. Power Rangers Battle Beasts returns with the fifth episode of the first season, The Rise of the Rider. Enjoy!!

After a quick recap of last time...

EZ Rider: Last time on Power Rangers Battle Beasts....

We cut to a guy in a suit walking up to a desk in a dark office, interacting with the Chairman of the Vanity Alliance, who's face and voice is hidden.

Suit: Mr. Chairman, I have located the coordinates of EZ Rider.
Chairman: Good, send them to every bounty hunter available, and a batch of Wraiths if needed.
Suit: Yes, Mr. Chairman.

We then cut to EZ's house in the morning, as Aaron wakes up from his slumber, spotting EZ asleep at his desktop.

Aaron: EZ?

As he pats him, it wakes him in surprise.

EZ: What the hell? Oh, it's just you, Aaron.
Aaron: Have you been up all night?
EZ: Yeah, I've been editing my latest review.
Aaron: For your show?
EZ: Yeah. Life's been hectic.
Aaron: Well, I'm sure one day you'll bounce back up.
EZ: Yeah, that's what I keep telling myself every night.

After their conversation, the others wake up as they sit at the table.

Amy: Ah, I had a good beauty sleep last night.
Leon: Good mornin', everybody! What a beautiful d--

Leon then falls back asleep on the table.

Trevor: Get up, tender brain! We have a busy day ahead of us. We still need to find the last cube.
Sadie: Not to mention the Zenix Empire.
Trevor: God knows what's next.

We then cut to outside of the house, where we see bounty hunters has found them.

Sniper: We've found them.
Chairman: Good, shoot when ready.

Theme song then plays.

After the opening sequence, we then cut to EZ looking at a picture on his desktop.

Leon: Whatcha' lookin at?

EZ: Oh, just a picture of my old home. I really miss it.

Rager: We had a lot of memories there.

Sadie: You know, I'm just curious, why did you move away anyways?

EZ: It's a long story.

Outside, one of the snipers then locks EZ onto his target as he gets up from his chair. Once he pulls the trigger, the scene then goes into slow-mo, where Rager senses the bullet and uses his katana to stop it from hitting EZ. As everything gets back to normal speed...

EZ: What the hell was that?!

Rager: Bounty hunters!

EZ: What?! They found us?

The snipers then continues to fire at the windows, causing everyone to get down.

EZ: Down!!

As EZ gets his Quantum Defender from his holster...

Leon: Dude, what do you mean by bounty hunters? What did you do?

EZ: I'll explain later.

The scene continues as bullets break the windows, the Rangers getting there Beast Blasters and firing.

Rager: RAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

Rager yells as he breaks out of the windows and fights them off. He proceeds to kill each of them one by one, by beheading, stabbing, a gory scene breaks out, with the blood splattering on Rager, with him laughing maniacally. After when Rager throws there corpses in the trash...

EZ: HAL, activate the rebuild program.

HAL: Computing...Computing...Rebuild process complete.

Amy: Whoa, how did you do that?

EZ: I was able to program HAL with a rebuild program built in if any damage took place.

Trevor: And yet, you weren't able to program a force field that could protect us from the bullets?

EZ: That stuff is too sophisticated to handle with. That's the kind of technology that would be in the hands of more advanced reviewers, like Linkara.

Leon: Anyways, now that we were able to take care of the snipers, we need an explanation.

Aaron: They showed you their Avatar forms, so we know you can trust us, but we need to know if we can trust you.

After a moment of silence, EZ comes to a decision.

EZ: Alright, I'll tell you then.

As they sit down...

EZ: It all started along time ago when I was young and I got involved in an accident that took the life of my brother, Paul.

Leon: Wait a minute, you have a brother?!

EZ: Had a brother. Paul was the best. He was a perfect example of a brother that would stick up for & protect you. He took care of me after our parents died in a house fire.

Amy: So, you barely have any family left.

After a quick silence...

EZ: Yes.

EZ: After the accident, I luckily survived, but not well. The accident infected my body with a virus, but some kind of mystery figure put a wrist module on my arm to keep the virus from killing me.

Trevor: You know, I actually thought that you would wear those things because you were a fan of Toku so much.

EZ: Well, that and the virus. Anyways, I took refuge in a house, where I started my show, Toku Time. When I got to the lackluster Imagin Anime, that's when I met Rager. That's when I felt like I had a friend.

Rager: He was a bit of a wuss at the time.

EZ: Shut up!

Sadie: I can see that the two of you are great friends.

EZ: As I was saying, we then encountered an old friend of Rager's, Shadow Moon, who was working for the Vanity Alliance.

Rager: He and I were part of a group known as The Heartless, until they joined the Alliance and I betrayed them, joining EZ's side.

EZ: Those bastards would always send me crappy & bad toku for me to review, but that would always make me stronger and gain new weapons. They would send their grunts, the Wraiths, who are beings revived from the dead. One time, they were able to brainwash me and work for an organization known as G.E.A.R., but luckily, Apollo Z. Hack was able to free me from their control.

EZ (cont.): They then fully began their attack on Reviewtopia after I celebrated my show's two-year anniversary. They were pretty damn relentless with my fellow reviewers and friends, but I after reviewing a lackluster Power Rangers anniversary, an average Sentai & Rider crossover, and a got-awful crossover with Power Rangers & Masked Rider, I was able to repent and I became Kamen Rider Black RX and then Kamen Rider J to defeat Shadow Moon, but before that, he killed Rager.

Rager: But I then became a Red Lantern myself.

Amy: So, why didn't you use your Lantern powers to fight the snipers earlier?

EZ: Well, about that...

EZ (cont.): When I started using a Gaia Memory I got from a Wraith, the energy was taken away from me from their new general, Wolzard. At that time, that's were we met Suave.

Rager: Suave was an old disciple of mine who later joined me and EZ in our fight.

Suave: Ahh, memories.

EZ: The Alliance then used the Memory data from my body and used it as a part of splicing my DNA with that of a Wraith's, creating my evil clone, Dark Rider. He was....insane, and armed with a Diendriver.

Suave: He would manipulate us a couple of times, even forcing me to betray my friends by forming a contract with me.

EZ: He then began his strike as he took over my show, and killed Rager again, until he was revived as a Black Lantern. He then removed my wrist module, leaving me to die. And then, I saw my brother. Paul. It felt he was dead, and alive at the same time. He then gave me the Morphin Brace, which revived me and I fought back against my doppleganger, assuming the form of EZ Buster and sending him to hell.

EZ (cont.): But despite winning, I also lost.

Aaron: What do you mean by that?

EZ: I then became a criminal with a bounty on my head.

Trevor: What did you do?

As Trevor drinks a glass of water handed to him by Suave...

EZ: I killed someone.

As the others are surprised, Trevor spits out his water in surprise.

Trevor: WHAT?!!

EZ: OK, now wait a sec! Dark Rider killed a guy and people thought it was me who did it, and a bounty was put on me and we've been hunted by bounty hunters. So, to get away from all that madness, we had to move away into this humble abode. Everything was nice until what just happened a couple of minutes ago. Look, I'm sorry about what's happening. I know you guys thought that this place would feel like at home to you and I'm---

EZ is suddenly interrupted by a knock on the door. Leon then gets it.

Leon: Let me get it!

Once he opens the door, he suddenly gets punched in the face after making a meme face. After being punched, it is revealed to be Wraiths.

Trevor: What are those things? Are they what you call Wraiths?
EZ: Yeah, there pretty tough, so be sure to keep your guard up. 

A fight scene then ensues. EZ, Rager, & Suave are able to ward them off, but the Rangers cannot, due to the fact that they are not trained enough to take on the Wraiths. When the fight continues outside, the Rangers then morph.

All Five: Spirit Unleash!!

Morphed, the Rangers are able to defeat the Wraiths due to their increased strength.

Leon: Man, those guys were brutal to beat.

EZ: I said the same when I first fought them after my follow-up to Kamen Rider Dragon Knight.

Sadie: Who knows what the Alliance can pull next.

After the Wraiths failure...

Chairman: Damn it! Of course the Wraiths would fail.

Guy in suit: Mr. Chairman, Project M.O.T.W. is complete.

Chairman: Good. Send Dragnex into the city and lure out the Rangers.

Guy in suit: Yes, Mr. Chairman.

The new monster, Dragnex...

teleports into the city and begins attacking. EZ's Morpher then beeps and it pulls up a hologram of the scene.

EZ: Damn! The Alliance is now capable of creating monsters.

Aaron: We'll take him on.

EZ: Wait, I'm pulling up this guy's energy signature, and it's more powerful then any Wraith I have faced or any monster you have faced.

Trevor: Powerful or not, I'm not gonna let this guy destroy this world. Let's go.

As the Rangers race to the city...

Rager: What are you standing there for? Why don't you help them?

EZ: Their Power Rangers, they don't need me.

Once the Rangers get to the city...

Dragnex: Ah, Rangers! You've finally arrived!

Aaron: Let's take this guy out! Rangers...Stampede!!

As fight scene then ensues with Dragnex and the Rangers, but he bests them in contact with his bladed arm and laser eyes, proving to be a formidable foe.

Amy: Man, this guy is strong!

Dragnex: That's nothing! Here is a sample of my true power!

He makes a laser blade using his powers and commits the Nuclear Deathstrike, striking at the Rangers and causing them to be surrounded by explosions, sending them flying into the air and making a critical impact in the forest, causing them to demorph. As EZ looks at this on his labtop monitor...

EZ: My God! Is this what the Alliance is capable of doing now?

Rager: What are you going to do about it?

EZ then stands up in silence.

Rager: What are you going to do? Just say something, God dam---!

EZ: I didn't ask for this! I didn't ask for any of this.

Suave: Is it that you are ungrateful for us?

EZ: No, it's not that, Suave. It's just...all that is happening, this is the reason why I moved away.

Rager: You moved because you became a chicken-shitted wuss?!

EZ: It's not that! You don't know how it's like to have all of your friends abandon you and have hunters chase you down like a sadistic terrorist, especially when I didn't do anything!

As he lays down on his knees...

EZ: From the get-go, the Alliance wanted my fans to turn against me, and it seems they have accomplished their goal.

Rager then hands him his Quantum Defender.

Rager: Take it.

EZ: Why?

Rager: EZ, you may have hit rockbottom like hell, but there is always chance to rise up.

EZ: And what if I can't?

Rager: Then just keep going.

Suave: And don't forget, kouhai. You have us, which means you haven't lost ALL of your friends.

EZ: Your right.

EZ takes the gun.

EZ: Let's go kick some ass.

We then cut to the forest as the Rangers are attending to their injuries.

Leon: God, that was brutal!

Sadie: At least there's something you and I can agree on.

Trevor: Just be thankful we survived, yet defying the laws of physics.

But Dragnex and a squad of Wraiths have found them.

Dragnex: Defying the laws of physics, eh? Well, let's see if you can defy the laws of death, which I'm sure you won't.

Amy: It does not know when to stop, does it.

Aaron: I don't think so.

Dragnex: Wraiths, get them!

An unmorphed fight scene continues, but do the Rangers being injured, the Rangers get their asses handed to them. Being treated brutally, like when Trevor spits out blood after being punched, a Wraith stepping on Sadie's head, Amy being kneed in the gut, Leon being thrown by a piledriver, and Aaron being thrown and hitting into a tree, the Rangers are at their demise. When the Wraiths grow blades out of their hands and walk towards the Rangers, as they back away, the Wraiths are killed by a quick blast.

Dragnex: Huh?!

It reveals to be EZ as EZ Buster.

EZ Buster: Get away from my friends, you laser blading bitch!

Dragnex: Ah, so your a tough guy now! Well, let's see how much you've evolved!

EZ & Dragnex then fight each other. EZ gets possessed by Rager and then Suave as they help in the fight. EZ then continues to use all of his weapons, the Quantum Defender, the Ixa Calibur, the Ixa Knuckle, the Leon Laser, the Skull Magnum, the Gokai Spear, the Faiz Shot, the Ichigan Buster in Special Buster Mode, and the Lio Blaster, but Dragnex is too powerful for those weapons and knocks down EZ.

Dragnex: Typical. You should just stay at rockbottom where you belong!

As Dragnex is about the slice EZ, he somehow stops it with his fist.

EZ: Rockbottom, my ass!

He pushes away the blade and kicks him.

EZ: I've come along way and now Monster of the Week like you is gonna stop me from getting back to the top.
Dragnex: What do you mean get back to the top? All you just do is review kid shows from Japan and you call that a life?
EZ: Hell yeah, I call that a life. And I am damn proud to have friends and fans apart of that life too.

Then, EZ feels a familiar power inside of him.

EZ: And now, I'm about to kick your ass, RX Style!

His Morpher then shines, having it materialize into a Sunriser.

EZ: Henshin!!

He then transforms into Kamen Rider Black RX and fights Dragnex, while the Black RX theme plays. As the others watch in enjoyment, EZ bests Dragnex in battle, even dodging Dragnex's Nuclear Deathstrike attack. He then breaks out the Revolcane and stabs him.

EZ: Revolcane!!

As Dragnex is stabbed, green blood spews from his body. As EZ removes his saber, Dragnex is defeated as he explodes.

Dragnex: Looks like I've hit rockbottom!!

As he demorphs, he walks to the Rangers.

Leon: Dude, that was awesome!
Amy: It was awesome how you were able to turn into Black RX again!
EZ: I know, right? But God knows if I'll be able to transform again.

We then cut to the Chairman.

Chairman: Damn it! So it seems EZ Rider has bested my monster.
Guy in suit: Luckily, Mr. Chairman, he was programmed with a growing capability.
Chairman: Use it now!
Guy in suit: Yes, Chairman.

The guy in suit then takes out a phone a presses a button on it, causing the monster to grow giant-sized.

EZ: Oh, hell!!
Trevor: Seems the Alliance are capable of making their monsters big too.
Aaron: Don't worry, EZ, we'll take him in the Zords.

The Rangers then morph.

All Five: It's Morphin Time! Spirit Unleash!

After the morph, they call their Zords to form the Battle King Megazord in default mode and fight Dragnex. But he proves to be powerful against it, so they convert into Striker Mode. When they use the Battle King Final Kick, Dragnex blocks it with his blade, deflecting them back. He uses the Nuclear Deathstrike against them as they get up, causing the Megazord to be damaged and having the Rangers eject.

Trevor: Well, that was dumb. If we can't beat him on ground, of course we're not gonna beat him in the Megazord.
EZ: God, where's that deus ex machina we need. It's not like an unexplained cameo is gonna appear out of nowhere.

But, it does. A grey distorted wall like the one that is seen in Decade appears, revealing Apollo Z. Hack.

Apollo: Hello, again, old friend.
EZ: What are you doing here?
Apollo: Came to give you something.

He then throws him a Decadriver and a Kamen Rider J Card.

Apollo: Be sure to give it back when your done.

He then disappears into the wall again.

EZ: Ah, what the hell?

He places the Decadriver on his waste on opens it up.

EZ: Henshin!!

He inserts the Kamen Rider J card into the belt and transforms into Kamen Rider J in Jumbo Formation.

Dragnex: You again?! Well, time for Round 2!
EZ: Let's go, baby!

The two then fight each other in a colossal smackdown, until Dragnex gets the upper hand.

Aaron: Damn, it's not enough power!
Amy: Wait a minute, what if he can use the Giraffa Bazooka?
Sadie: It's our only chance.

Amy then throws the Giraffe Zord to EZ, as it grows giant-sized and becomes the Giraffe Bazooka.

EZ: This will do!

He then rapidly fires at Dragnex with it and beats him down and then finishes him off with Final Bazooka Blast.

Dragnex: Down to rock bottom, again!

As the others yell in joy, we cut to the Chairman.

Suit: Mr. Chairman, the project was a failure.
Chairman: Indeed. But it we also gained an achievement.
Suit: I do not understand.
Chairman: We are a force that are more capable of the unthinkable. We will reach our goal to destroying EZ Rider once and for all! As well as the Power Rangers and I will not let the Zenix Empire take that goal from me! Continue the project.
Suit: Yes, Mr. Chairman.

Meanwhile, at EZ's apartment, the Rangers and EZ celebrate their victory.

Aaron: Cheers to our first victory against the Alliance and to EZ who rose up to the task when we needed him to the most.
EZ: Thanks, guys.
Suave: So, kouhai, now that they now our location, does this mean were going to move again?

After a couple of seconds of silence...

EZ: No, were not! We are going to stay here and fight back against whatever the Alliance and the Zenix Empire have in store for us!

This brings a smile of joy to our heroes.

Leon: Hell yeah, now that's what I'm talking about! But I have a question, if your a criminal, how did you even afford to move into this place?
Sadie: Also, how do you even pay your rent?
Amy: Do you even have a job to pay the rent?
Trevor: If so, how can you go in your workplace without being recognized?

Questions then come out of our heroes' mouths which starts getting EZ all riled up, ending our episode.

NEXT TIME ON POWER RANGERS BATTLE BEASTS: When the Zenix Empire attacks our heroes with their Tri-Speeders, the Rangers counterattack with their Zords, but when Gigantojaw escapes one of the ships, the Rangers go out into the forest to find him, but they end up finding something unexpected.
