Godzilla
To start off this list, of course, we have to start off with the big G himself. This guy will always be known as the King of the Monsters. He made his infamous debut in the 1954 movie, Godzilla (or Gojira in japanese standards. Before he was released onto the world in 1954, he was asleep until the military´s nuclear bomb testing woke him up. For that, he got pissed and decided to punish the world by going on a rampage in Japan. For offensive attacks, Godzilla can use his atomic fire breath when needed.
As time grew, and more movies were released, Godzilla became more of a hero, or anti-hero, since he didn´t intend on saving humans. Due to this change, he had a more kid-friendly design.
Land Form
Air Form
_________________________________________________________________________________
Gigan
Making his debut in Godzilla vs Gigan, Gigan is an cyborg monster who has chainsaws for hands he can use for combat. I honestly like the 2004 version because the original honestly looks dated. Gigan, to me, is a badass and I would not think any other monster would take his place.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Megalon
Megalon is a cockroach beetle who has drill for hands. He is worshiped by the inhabitants of Seatopia. Once he begins an assault on the surface, he confronts Godzilla and Jet Jaguar with the help of Gigan.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Jet Jaguar
Jet Jaguar is an ally robot created by Goro Ibuki. Jet Jaguar has AI that lets him fight for justice. His design is similar to that of Ultraman, but his face is the main reason for your nightmares that will occur for two weeks.
_________________________________________________________________________________
MechaGodzilla (Showa)
Speaking of giant robots, MechaGodzilla is known as one of the most prominent kaiju in the franchise. MechaGodzilla first comes to Earth to wreck havoc disguised as Godzilla, but when he comes across the real Godzilla, his true form is shown. MechaGodzilla was created by the Black Hole aliens (known as Simians in the japanese version). Anyways, MechaGodzilla was very powerful that the King of the Monsters needed some help from another king kaiju.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Titanosaurus
In the movie, Terror of Mechagodzilla, which is the last Showa Era film, MechaGodzilla returns as MechaGodzilla 2, and he gets help from another kaiju, Titanosaurus. A scientist named Shinzo Mifune was so obsessed with studying marine brain waves that he ends up controlling the brain waves of Titanosaurus. When Dr. Mifune joins forces with the Black Hole aliens, Titanosaurus teams up with MechaGodzilla 2 and Godzilla is outmatched. Luckily, Godzilla defeats both of the kaiju.

Shockirus
In the 1984 Godzilla film, the first film of the Heisei Era, Shockirus is a sea louse that attacks Goro Maki, but Hiroshi Okumura saves him by killing Shockirus

As time grew, and more movies were released, Godzilla became more of a hero, or anti-hero, since he didn´t intend on saving humans. Due to this change, he had a more kid-friendly design.
When the Heisei Era came for Godzilla movies, he as well had a new design, which I have to say is my second favorite Godzilla look. The picture you see above is the most prominent design in the Heisei Era.
In the movie, Godzilla vs Destoroyah, Godzilla ends up assuming a state where he is engulfed in lava. This is because his heart is undergoing a nuclear meltdown because he absorbed the energy from a uranium deposit triggered by a volcanic eruption. This form is best classified as Burning Godzilla.
This Godzilla design is shown in the Millenium Era, where Godzilla goes back to being a bad guy. The picture above is from Godzilla 2000, which is when Godzilla was an anti-hero and when he fought Orga (we'll get to him later).
This design is from the 2004 movie, Godzilla: Final Wars, which was said to be the last Godzilla movie. Thankfully ten years later, we got the reboot.
This is my overall favorite Godzilla design. This is from the 2014 Godzilla film by Warner Bros. Though, Godzilla didn't have that much focus in that movie, it was exciting to see his new design.
This is from the recent Godzilla film, Godzilla Resurgence, or Shin Godzilla. The producers decided to make Godzilla scary once more as he a red skin patterns in his skin and his eyes pop out like the original Godzilla from 1954.
This Godzilla will be seen in the upcoming movie, Godzilla: Monster Planet.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Anguirus
This was the second monster to be introduced in a Godzilla film. Anguirus has spikes on his back that he can for both defense and offense. He can also roll up into a ball and attack his enemies with the spikes on his shell. Sound familiar?
_________________________________________________________________________________
King Kong
Of course, I had to include Godzilla's main rival, King Kong. Kong usually originates from the 1933 film of the same name. Toho teamed up with Universal Pictures to make the 1962 film, Godzilla vs King Kong, and this was the first time Kong was actually suitwork, not claymation. Kong had made his return in the recent movie, Kong: Skull Island and Kong will cross roads with the King of the Monsters once again in 2020.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Giant Octopus
In King Kong vs Godzilla, a giant octopus attacks the native village, only to be defeated by King Kong.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Rodan
Rodan was first seen in the 1956 film of the same name. Rodan has enormous wings that he uses for flight and are very destructive. He first appears in the Godzilla franchise in Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster.
In Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla II, Rodan makes a return in the Heisei Era. When Rodan absorbs Godzilla's nuclear energy, he becomes Fire Rodan and uses this power to fight MechaGodzilla.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Mothra
The infamous insect monster known as Mothra was first seen in the 1964 film of the same name. Mothra first hatches out of an egg and assumes a caterpillar form. She then goes into a cocoon state and rises in her butterfly form.
Mothra first appears in the Godzilla franchise in the 1964 film Godzilla vs Mothra. After the end of Heisei Era, which marked the death of Godzilla, Mothra got her own trilogy, Rebirth of Mothra I, II, & III.
_________________________________________________________________________________
King Ghidorah
Another Godzilla's well known enemies. King Ghidorah first makes his appearance in Ghidorah, the Three Headed Monster. Ghidorah is known for his three heads, which can shoot lightning out of their mouths.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Ebirah
Ebirah first makes his debut in the 1966 film, Ebirah, Horror of the Deep. Ebirah would defend the waters of a nearby island and would destroy any ship that would go near it. Godzilla later rips his claws off and defeats him.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Giant Condor
This Giant Condor monsters appears in Ebirah, Horror of the Deep. He fights Godzilla alongside a squad of the Red Bamboo organization. Luckily, the Big G destroys them both.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Minilla
In Son of Godzilla, a mysterious egg hatches and reveals Minilla, who was brought in for comic relief. He imprints on Godzilla as his surrogate father. Unlike his father, he is more friendly with humans.
This is his design in the 2004 movie, Godzilla: Final Wars.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Kamacuras
Due to an American weather experiment going haywire and raining on Solgell Island, it causes the two-meter mantises that live on the island to grow into 50-meter monsters, dubbing them as Kamacuras.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Kumonga
Kumonga is seen as a vicious predator who attacks everything he sees in his sight. He awakes from hibernation when Minilla accidentally knocks a boulder into his valley, waking him up. Godzilla and Minilla defeat him by using their atomic fire breath, setting him ablaze.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Varan
Varan was first seen in the 1958 film, Varan the Unbelieveable. This lizard-type monster has the ability to glide in the air with his wings and possesses a row of spikes on his back for protection. It makes its first Godzilla appearance in Destroy All Monsters.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Baragon
Baragon comes from the 1965 film, Frankenstein Conquers the World. He is a dinosaur monster with a horn on his head that can shoot heat rays from his mouth as his main finisher. It as well makes an appearance in Destroy All Monsters.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Gorosaurus
Gorosaurus comes from the 1967 film, King Kong Escapes. It makes its first appearance in Destroy All Monsters. All it is is just a giant dinosaur that relies on its strength to fight.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Manda
Manda comes from the 1963 film, Atragon. Manda is a giant serpent-like beast that can wrap around its body and crush its enemy.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Gabarah
Gabarah is an ogre-monster from what is considered the worst Godzilla movie of all time, Godzilla's Revenge. Gabarah only appears in Ichiro's dream. Gabarah is actually a representation on Senko Gabura, a kid who picks on Ichiro after school.

Hedorah
Hedorah is a monster created by pollution. It appears in Godzilla vs Hedorah. Before reaching it's final form, it assumed three different forms (Water, Land, and Air).

_________________________________________________________________________________
King Caesar
When Godzilla was having trouble with MechaGodzilla, the natives from an Okinawan village summoned King Caesar from his slumber. His design is based off a Shisa statue. The legend he comes from is that he is represented as a good dragon who defends his village from evil dragons. MechaGodzilla is symbolized as the evil dragon of the story.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Titanosaurus
In the movie, Terror of Mechagodzilla, which is the last Showa Era film, MechaGodzilla returns as MechaGodzilla 2, and he gets help from another kaiju, Titanosaurus. Biollante
In Godzilla vs Biollante, Dr. Shiragami's daughter, Erika, is killed in a terrorist attack by BioMajor. To save his daughter, he combines her cells with that of a rose and adds a little of Godzilla's cells. This causes the plant to come to life, assuming the form of a giant rose.
As time grew, Biollante then assumes her final form. Once Godzilla defeats her, her spores then flew into space, with an image of Erika shown over the spores.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Dorats
These cute little things were seen in Godzilla vs King Ghidorah. When they were left on Lagos Island back in 1944, and when it was radiated, the three Dorats fused together and became King Ghidorah.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Godzillasaurus
In the same movie, our main characters go back in time to WW2 and try to stop Godzilla from mutating. When the Godzillasaurus, Godzilla's unmutated form, was killed by American soldiers, the Futurians got rid of the dinosaur's body in the Bering Strait, but when a Russian nuclear submarine sank in the Bering Strait in 1970, it mutated the dinosaur, turning him into Godzilla, erasing the events of the first film, but setting the events of the 1984 film to motion.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Mecha King Ghidorah
After when Godzilla rips off the middle head of Ghidorah, he is recreated and turned into Mecha-King Ghidorah, where he know has a robotic middle head.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Battra
From the 1992 film, Godzilla vs Mothra, Battra is a kaiju similar to Mothra, but with a more vampiric moth-like design. Originally, he was going to be the evil twin brother of Mothra, which would have a been a good idea, but for some reason, they didn't go with it.
Near the climax of the film, Battra assumed his final form which I really do like. He teams up with Mothra to stop Godzilla, but Godzilla kills Battra.
_________________________________________________________________________________
MechaGodzilla (Heisei)
To stop Godzilla, the Japanese military ends up building their own version of MechaGodzilla using 23rd century technology that was used to make Mecha King-Ghidorah.
When combined with the airship classified as Garuda, it can become Super MechaGodzilla. Yeah, because adding a backpack somehow makes you super.
Super MechaGodzilla ends up fighting Godzilla and Fire Rodan and successfully destroys Godzilla's second brain and wounds Fire Rodan, but the latter revives Godzilla and the king himself destroys Super MechaGodzilla. It's remains is later used to create M.O.G.U.E.R.A.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Baby Godzilla/Little Godzilla/Godzilla Jr.
In Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla II, an egg from Adona Island hatches, revealing Baby Godzilla. He imprints on biologist Azusa Gojo. He is later adopted by Godzilla and leaves with him to Birth Island. In Godzilla vs SpaceGodzilla, Baby Godzilla then grows into Little Godzilla. He is imprisoned in a cage of crystals by SpaceGodzilla until when he is defeated by his father and M.O.G.U.E.R.A. In Godzilla vs Destroyah, he continues to grow into Godzilla Jr., where is almost at his fully grown state. In the movie, he is killed by Destroyah in his final form, but is soon revived after Godzilla's meltdown. He is shown to have fully grown.
_________________________________________________________________________________
SpaceGodzilla
In Godzilla vs SpaceGodzilla, Godzilla cells that were transported into space during Biollante's destruction were exposed to the radiation of a black hole. This somehow created SpaceGodzilla. SpaceGodzilla makes his appearance on Earth by battling the King of the Monsters himself and winning, then trapping Little Godzilla in a prison made of crystals. He then heads to Fukuoka Tower and drains its energy to transfer into himself. He is then defeated by the combined efforts of Godzilla and M.O.G.U.E.R.A.
_________________________________________________________________________________
M.O.G.U.E.R.A.
Moguera was first seen the 1957 film, The Mysterians, where it served as an antagonist mecha. Later on in Godzilla vs SpaceGodzilla, the military ends up creating a robot from the remains of MechaGodzilla to create M.O.G.U.E.R.A, which is an acronym for Mobile Operations G-Force Universal Expert Robot: Aero-Type. M.O.G.U.E.R.A. has the ability to divide into two vehicles, Star Falcon and Land Moguera.
Star Falcon Land Moguera
_________________________________________________________________________________
Fairy Mothra
When Mothra became aware of SpaceGodzilla's arrival, she splits herself into miniature versions of herself, known as Fairy Mothras. Miki ends up meeting a Fairy Mothra and is warned of SpaceGodzilla's arrival. The Fairy Mothras are explained more in the Rebirth trilogy.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Destroyah
Destroyah makes his debut in Godzilla vs Destroyah. He was once a group of crustaceans that were mutated by Dr. Serizawa's Oxygen Destroyer that was used to kill Godzilla in 1954 (which I don't know how that is possible because of Godzilla vs King Ghidorah). At times, the Destroyahs began to evolve.
Microscopic Form
Juvenile Form
Aggregate Form
Flight Form
The Destroyahs in Juvenile Form combine to form Aggregate Form, which is used to fight Godzilla Junior. It then continues to go into Flight Form and then assumes it's final form. Once assumed, it fights Godzilla Junior and sadly kills him. A pissed off Godzilla, in burning form, fights Destroyah at Haneda Airport and destroys him with the help of the JSDF. Once Godzilla melts down, he revives Godzilla Jr., who then goes into his fully grown state.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Millennian
This CGI abomination is classified as a Millennian, which has a telepathic link with the Millennian UFO. It uses its tentacles for attacks. It later merges itself with Godzilla's DNA, turning into Orga.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Orga
The Millennian mutates into Orga after absorbing Godzilla's DNA. It's design is really complex and outstanding. Once it tries eating Godzilla, it then gets his head blown off by Godzilla's atomic breath.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Meganulon
The Meganulons are prehistoric insects who appear in Godzilla vs Megaguirus. These creatures originated from the 1956 film, Rodan. The were a lot bigger and bulkier in that movie. 44 years later, the producers decided to make them more sleeker.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Megaguirus
When Meganulons infused Godzilla's energy into a Meganulon egg, it hatches, revealing Megaguirus, the queen of the Meganulons. She is actually a mutated version of said species. After having her stinger bit off by Godzilla, he destroys her with his atomic fire breath, setting her ablaze and exploding.
_________________________________________________________________________________
MechaGodzilla (Millenium)
When a second Godzilla appeared, after the original was sent to another dimension in the previous movie, the military created another MechaGodzilla, but it was referred to as Kiryu. It was a protagonist in its respective movies and won against Godzilla. In Tokyo SOS, it had different laser cannons and was referred to as Type 3 Kiryu.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Zilla
This is the Godzilla from the lackluster 1998 Godzilla film. WAIT A MINUTE!! If the Godzilla from that movie wasn't even Godzilla, then it wasn't even a Godzilla film!!
To be honest, I can hardly believe this. Luckily, Godzilla destroys Zilla in Final Wars.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Monster X
Monster X serves as the main antagonist of Godzilla: Final Wars. It originates from a planet known as Gorath, which was on a collision course with Earth, until Godzilla destroys it with his atomic breath and releases Monster X. In the final battle, Monster X reveals his true form as Keizer Ghidorah.
Though Keizer Ghidorah was powerful, Godzilla was able to win.
_________________________________________________________________________________
MUTO
This is MUTO, the main antagonist of the 2014 Godzilla film. MUTO is an acronym for Massive Unidentified Terrestial Organism. They are ancient parasites that come from the same ecosystem as Godzilla. They are actually drawn to radiation and nuclear power plants for food. They were both later destroyed by Godzilla in the final battle.
